I have never done any video editing, so don't know where to start. I have a video taken on my digital camera, and i would like to take one frame out of it to print as a photograph. What would be the easiest way of doing this?

Use VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) to view the video and make a screen capture either on the fly or from a paused still image...

Import the video into iMovie, then go to Edit --> Create a Still Frame

Cheers for the advice. What kind of resolution can i expect if i go the iMovie route? Will it be the resolution of the video?

Will it be the resolution of the video?I guess if you view in full screen mode and just take a screen shot it is limited by your screen's resolution... even if the resolution on the DVD should be less... :)
