Ok what I basically want to do is take two files, a recorded segment of my voice, and another audio file and put them together, so i am doing a voice-over on the 2nd audio file. Is this possible? I am trying to make my own switcher ad for a school project.

preferably this is for both Mac and PC as next my brother (a pc only person) wants to do it, although to make fun of it, but its all in good fun.

so people do you know of any app that will let me do what I want to?

thanks in advance.

Try Peak 3.0

Peak will work. I'm sure there are many more, too.... hit up the Audio section of Apple - Mac OS X - Downloads webpage.

Good luck.

Assuming you're using iMovie to edit, there's something you can do, and it won't cost you a penny.

Capture and assembly edit your video.

Then, watching it to synchronize your voice to action, record using the same Camcorder, paying attention to just the voicing. Perhaps plug in a little mic to alleviate any camera machine noises.

Once recorded, capture your 'Audio' Clip like you did to the video.

Place the clip in the timelin and strip the video (Unlink - delete video)

Slide 'er under then you have an audio track to your video!

oh i guess I did not make it clear, I just want to have audio voiceover, I am not actually making a real switcher thing. 🙂
