Need help with itunes

I have some quicktime audio files that I downloaded off a website. I draged and dropped them into itunes in a new playlist hit burn cd put a cd in. It said as usual it was checking for media than it just stops can anyone tell me how to burn these quicktime files. thank you
 
What type of files are they and where did you get them? What are their file extensions? 🙂
