I have been recording with my band for the past couple months for our 3rd record. It was all recorded in my home studio. We have decided we would rather let people have it than sell it, though we have CD's for shows.

This link is to band site. You can download the entire EP complete with iTunes artwork and info.

Let me know what you think if you care. If not. Thats cool too...

Thanks

EDIT
Our First two albums are know on the link as well

Nice! Downloading...

Yet I'm not sure if you are allowed to advertise like this?

Damn, I hope not. I saw a whole bunch of "critique my band" threads, I thought this was kinda the same deal. I am not selling it so, I figured share with people who are interested in music.

My appologies to the Moderator if I am wrong......

I believe this is ok. I remember when killyp had one of these threads...
Anyway, I'm downloading. Anxious to hear your music. Interesting story about the band's name. Oh, and the site loads really, really, really slowly.

Wow. This could be big. You are a mix between beatles, queen, and the shins.

GREAT STUFF. Seriously very well done.

Vocalist reminded me a little of Rufus Wainwright.

very cool stuff, good job on the production. you guys should check out a band called my morning jacket. theyre the jam band version of your band.

EDIT: After listening to the whole thing - totally stellar. You guys should do a few more songs and sell it as an album. Dont de-value your music. Very cohesive, good flow. excellent vocal performance, and again i really like the production.

Same. Except at first I was thinking a little Jet/Killers mix, but now that you mention the beatles and queen my thought has changed. :)

meh. the majority must be generic for anything else to be progressive in any way. by the way, music that isn't super far out is hard to get me to even moderately enjoy, but this really was good. I agree that you should sell this, Builder.

Thanks for the kind words ya'll

We made 1000 CD's (just cardboard inserts) from DiscMakers.

We are selling them at shows and sending them out to get reviewed and such. I just feel like, I like these songs.... I think others might too.

Instead of saying here's a song, now buy the album. I give the album and maybe people will want to buy the next one....

I don't know. I just like making music. Feedback is worth more to me than cash right now.... I have a job and a family, so this really is just my love\outlet....

Anyway... enjoy

Good stuff! I like this a lot, you have a good indie sound while still being fresh and not exactly like everything else out there. Nice work.

Downloaded the EP. Very, very good. A rich and satisfying sound.
You should be very proud of yourself. It's a lot better than most of the chart music out there.

Speak of the devil.

I'm downloading the album too, I love listening to EPs. They're generally higher quality than the release albums as the artists are able to perform/write/record at their best without the pressure of a record label on them...

Okay, I've only listened to the first two tracks, and it's really grabbing me already. I really prefer the 2nd track over the first, by quite some bit, but they're both great. I'll wait till I know the album a bit more before I post a lengthyish review etc, but I'm enjoying it!

Good recordings too btw!

Wow. Just, wow!

I think you guys have some serious talent and potential. If this were on iTunes, I'd buy it. I especially love "All I Need is an Excuse."

Keep up the great work. :) I'll be passing around that .zip file with this EP to my friends and family.

I really like Anonymous, cool riffage at the intro especially :)
I also like the guitar solo, it's always better when they're not ridiculously fast/pumped full of delay. Of course, good vocals help alot :p

By the way, I like the style of the artwork, have any other sketches?

Thanks.... I wanted that sort of Weezerish guitar solo thats big and follows the melody of the song....
The othe guitarist is in graphics design. I'll ask him if he has anymore

I've listened to the album quite a lot now, and I do really like it. There are some tracks I don't like as much as others. I'm not very keen on the Queenish ones, namely 1 and 4. The others I like a lot though...

builder

I really ever thought of it as Queenish, but I'll take it:)

Thanks again for all the replies.....
