You're kidding, right?

That bit of the song you've attached is .18 seconds long. Perhaps you made a mistake uploading it? Otherwise this is a bad joke.

Eh... I think it was safe. Maybe I'm just not informed, but aren't we pretty much safe from that kind of stuff on a mac?

Anyway, it is a song, it's just that it's very short... maybe that's a sign that it's actually something else that's destroying my computer? I hope not.

EDIT: So it's not a joke. How in the world is anybody supposed to identify that correctly?

My thoughts exactly. Since MS pays people to fix Wiki, I figure they'll start paying people to send Unix viruses to MacRumors users.

Ok, maybe that's a bit too paranoid.

Everybody's a little on edge ever since the Leap.A trojan was released here about a year ago masquerading as a .tgz file.

It wasn't long ago that someone posted a zip (or a jpeg, I forget) that opened up and ran a script to delete things or something. Just because we are more safe than a windows user, doesn't mean that we can be careless.

i know its really short but this contest has been going on with lots of other songs being guessed correctly and its only a few seconds long..but this latest one is the hardest to guess..
im guessing its a mainstream song..probably in the top40 charts about 1 or 2 months ago bcoz thats when the contest started..they only take a song that is playing on their radio at that time..

the clip is the end part of the song

btw i posted a link at boxnet so u dont have to dld a zip

Give some more info on the station. Tell me which radio station it is, where in the world it is, and when this clip started playing. I might be able to help you out. You said Top40, and 2 months ago. Top 40 refers to A LOT of music, so if the station is a CHR (Contempory Hit Radio) station, then it will be harder, if it's a Rock station, or more of a Hip Hop/R&B station, then it helps to cut it down a bit.

Also, what kind of other songs have they had? If you can give me as much detail into it as you can, i'd love to help.

Let me know.
