Ever since Zydas was bought out by Atheros, I can't find wireless USB drivers for the ZD1211 chipset wireless adapters. Why is that? Maybe someone has this driver. I searched for hours and every link that allows you to DL the driver is dead. There are tons of links that are on the www.zydas.com.tw website, but that of course is gone. GRRRRRRRR...

lol, didn't think this thread would be answered. I finally got the driver from a eBay retailer. But of course if anyone else in the future needs this driver just give me a PM.

Hi, the hosting site doesn't seem to allow me to download the drivers, any chance of putting them elsewhere?
Cheers

OKay everyone, here's the new link:
http://forum.insanelymac.com/lofiversion/index.php/t34071.html
ftp://ftp.zyxeltech.de/ZyDAS/ZD1211_USB/Macintosh/
And the Install Guide:
ftp://ftp.zyxeltech.de/ZyDAS/ZD1211_USB/Macintosh/ZD1211MacUSB_ver04_user_guide.doc
I've been looking all over for this and it seems like everyone is losing hope, but here it is. Spread the rumor before this one gets taken down.

Here are the drivers for ZD1211 chipset-based USB stick model AWLL3026 from AirLink101. Only $9.95 at Fry's.
http://www.airlink101.com/support/index.php?cmd=files&id=58
Drivers are for 10.3 and 10.4 and neither worked with the old G3/600mhz iMac running 10.2.8 I am trying to update for the kids. As a recent switcher with the fantastic MacBook Pro, I have to say that trying to find working drivers for older Macs, from the forums I've read and from my own experience, is like finding parts for a 1960's Fiat. After four hours messing with this stick on the G3, I installed it on my 1999 Win98 VAIO laptop with the supplied driver and was online in 10 minutes. Go figure.

GOOD NEWS!
ETEC in the U.K sell Zydas Wireless USB Dongle hardware. Go to this page for drivers:
http://www.etec-components.co.uk/download.html
The product to look for is the XG-762N. The drivers are the ones for the ZD1211.
