Newbie question - Windows emulation

A few months back I was reading here about a program that will allow one to run Windows XP programs inside OSX without installing XP (ie: with no need to buy Windows). I've tried searching for it, but have come up empty handed. I'm I remembering this right? If so, what's the name of the product? Links would be helpful. Thanks.

works pretty cool and if you want to boot with windows XP you should look for boot camp for OS X -
no offence - but with your search skills you should rather not use Boot Camp ;-)

its called "Crossover Mac". I forget the publisher's name. They have certain "recognized" programs (i.e. windows office 2003) but it can work with uncertified programs as well. Unfortunately it did no work for a program I specifically need. $270 later I have it now on Parallels which is really nice except for a hellish install (which I'm told is unusual .. just my luck eh?)

I'd say your best bet is to retitle this thread to "Quickbooks 2007 in Crossover?". That ought to get you an answer from someone who's tried it.

There's no rush. I just wanted to know if this program existed, I still have me old XP machine to do Quickbooks with for now. Plan to replace it in a few months with another Mac.
