macOS DVDs & Limewire

dont know if this is the right place to post this but here goes:

Just bought an imac and im not familiar with the programs used to convert movies to burn DVDs, I download movies from Limewire so I need to know:

a). How to convert mpg and avi to dvd

b). What program to use to burn those files to a dvd

(yeah, Im a new mac convert) It would make my day if someone told me what to do :D

You could probably do a search to find the answers elsewhere.
