also wanted to add a feeler for a price, if i were to straight out sell it. that would however be the last resort, because of downtime/ paypal fees, etc.

It looks like similar but less models of the same powerbook are going for about 750 on ebay right now up to a bit more (very little are ending soon, but I would "watch" some on there) but like I said these are lesser models with smaller harddrives and less ram.
My dad sold his 17" a few months ago for about 1300 I think... (ofcourse I could be having a complete brain fart there lol) but that was to a local buyer and his was in pretty good condition.
However, if you do end up selling it straight out I would maybe suggest a local buyer from someplace like craigslist if possible. Tibooks were going for between 450 and 500 on ebay (minus shipping and other fees ofcourse) but I listed locally on craigslist and managed to get 2 people waring over it for 550.
Granted it was in pretty good condition for a tibook, but still much better cash price for me then I would have gotten going through ebay or a forum probably.
This is ofcourse all speculation and may not be helpful if you do manage to make a trade, but just wanted to throw in my two cents about it's value/place to get the best value out of it.
goodluck!
Sorry I don't have anything to trade!
