hi this is my first post ever!
i have a digital piano, with midi in and out ,which i play live in my band, i recently bought a macbook pro and logic express with the aim of not only recording music but using them together in a live situation to get more sounds.
does anyone know a good general place to get help on this stuff?

here are my main beginning problems:
1. have managed to connect keyboard thru midi interface to macbook, can assign an instrument in logic and play the sounds of that assigned instrument with my piano, is there any way i can switch quickly between virtual instrument and my (real) piano sound? (eg. if one song is using a logic instrument and the next song i want my piano sound back?) would it be best to do all thru logic or manually switch cables? is that even possible?

someone let me know if this post is too long!
akemi:)

welcome to MR :)

There are those who can add more resources than I, but start with some of these spots

http://www.bigbluelounge.com/forums/index.php

http://www.audiomidi.com/

and others.

I would create two tracks, one for your MiDI, and one for your piano.

Switch back and forth with a click.
