*GULP* I'm not sure I'm going to go through with this but here it goes. Just wondering what you guys think I can get for this. It's a Powerbook G4 1.5 ghz 1.5 GB ram 80 GB hard drive cd-rw/dvd with Tiger. At the moment I can't find the install cds so I'm going to say they aren't included. I can include a Toast 7 w/ license. Like I said, I'm not sure I'm going to go through with this but I am pretty hard-up, so barring some sort of miracle I may end up selling it. I appreciate all input. If I decide to go this route I may have other items as well.

I've got the same computer and have been considering the same thing. I'm reluctant to lose the portability + power though of my outstanding 12" powerbook. In my area searching on craigslist.org, and on ebay, I've pretty much seen a maxed out 12" powerbook 1.5 ghz with disks and remaining time on an apple care warranty going for around $1,200. These machines are holding their value, even more than the first 15" macbook pros which had a few tiny issues. Anyway, if you're thinking of upgrading just for a bigger screen, maybe do what I'm considering and just find a nice new 20" moniter or something. Good luck!

Realistically, probably around $750-800 shipped. At least on here anyway...the eBay prices have dropped quite a bit the past 3 months as well. I bought a 12'' 1.5 ghz/1.25 gb/80 gb/Superdrive off here for $720 shipped about a month ago...and I've seen them go for anywhere between $750-800.
Yes, Faustkampf, they hold their value, but it has really dropped lately. You will NOT find any of them going for the $1,200 you stipulated however, unless it was an auction driven up by Nigerian scammers. Even on eBay, they're going for $850ish, MAYBE $900 if there is tons of legit software included...but it's hit or miss on eBay. $800 shipped is probably a realistic price.

Of course if you're buying the machine, try to get the lowest price. And of course, who doesn't know to stay away from Nigerians. But if you're selling, look in your area for going prices, which means craigslist. Go on craigslist.org and do a search to see what you laptop is going for. Where I am they're going for $1,200. If you searched, as a buyer, of course you could find them cheaper. As a seller, yes, you can get a good price for them.
Yes, thank god, powerbooks hold their value, and you won't have to wait for someone to give you what you're asking for the last 12" G4 powerbook. Try it out, you'll see. I was super close to selling until I realized how much I actually love the portability + power of my machine. But yeah, make an ad on craigslist, at least to find out what people are willing to pay. I promise if you want to sell for nearly what you put into it, with this outstanding machine, you have that option. There will be someone who just wants to get rid of their powerbook to get some hard cash, but more people are willing to fork out the cash for the trustiest machine on the market. Anyway, don't take my word for it, try it out... I stand by my laptop's value and so should you.
