Hey everyone,

My macbook shuts down with no warning when there is 30-45 minutes left. Does anyone else have this problem?

Also, the battery does not last near as long as it did when I purchased it back in August. Will a replacement battery be covered by the warranty?

Thanks,
Kevin

Calibrating a MacBook or MacBook Pro battery (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.4/en/mh2339.html)

Do you calibrate your battery? It could be showing inaccurate times if you didn't calibrate it.

So, I'll just build on what people have said here:

ReCalibrate your battery. Search apple.com for detailed instructions on how to do that.

Reset your PRAM, etc.

If none of those steps work, and it continues to shut off, you might have a bum battery. It happens. Apple should replace it without much trouble, if you've tested for the above issues.
