So, I see that people are selling AppleCare on ebay... what exactly is in the box? Is it just boxed documentations or what? But, do you guys think it's a good deal to buy AppleCare on eBay? 😕

I bought AppleCare for my PowerMac on eBay for $100. It was the full retail box, but all you really need is the activation code. I would be careful, however, as I did see someone trying to sell an AppleCare box that had been activated (which is essentially worthless). Just verify with the seller that the AppleCare is new and has not been activated.

There is a pretty decent retail mark-up on AppleCare. I think around $75 for the iBook/MacBook version... the others are probably in line with that.

Warranties are one of the biggest mark-up items. They don't really cost Apple anything. So yes, as long as you buy a new box, it is a fantastic deal. I bought mine that way. $75 shipped.
