What type of App do I need for this?

I saw on my buddys Mac that he had his icons changed to different pictures. What type of App do I need to do this as well?

Candybar is the best for changing icons. it's not free, but it's so worth the $12 license.

You don't actually need a separate app to change icons. Just copy and paste what you want into the "get info" dialog for a file.

This is how I do it. Got most of my changed icons from interfacelift
