sitting on my bed with my 5 month old as is demo powermac 15" betwixt my legs, suddenly realize my bottle of water is empty and I'm sitting in a pool of ozarka AAAAAAAAAA my booty is wet!!! oh yah, and so is the bottom of my laptop!!! caint be good... Damn I'm an idiot. Sooooooo
let it sit "maybe it'll dry out," sez my computer guru freind. "cell phones dry out after a while, give it time" sez mamma... Anyway, let it sit, woke me up making sad little beeping noises... Called mac, told em what happened; "serial #?" ok blahbiddeblahblahblahblablabiddee bllah"
"well lets see... OH by the way mac doesn't cover wet lap tops sorry... can I interest you in a new one?" so I'm S.O.L. tried a new battery- nothing no clicks, no beeps nuttin... let it sit for a couple of months, nuttin... Strange thing though, when I plug it in the light for the power chord still comes on, nothing else. Mac said I could try buying new ram and checking it out, ok
sure whatever... Anyone have any luck fixing their laptop, drying it? Anyone think I'm soooo entertaining they want to send me a new or used
laptop? Donations accepted... HeĽ I'm good at photoshop!!!:) :apple: :apple: :apple:

Ok, so you drowned your MacBook Pro in some kind of liquid.

Well I can guarantee nobody will donate towards a new MBP for you, becuase we hear these stories all time. The most you can hope is letting it dry out, I'm sure it is pretty destroyed by now. Dry whatever you can, it probably won't help.

AND you posted in the wrong forum.

Whatever kind of computer it is, it's dead. Drying will work sometimges, but it sounds like you sopped it.

This is one of the worst formatted posts I have seen.

And the subject matter pretty much gives it away that this person, old or young, is new to computers, at least Macs maybe.

I dont know what to say other than, :O

Your first, and only post and you already have doomed yourself to probably being flamed.

Bummer.. Better luck next time...
I generally recommend taking good care of computers... it does tend to help their longevity.. But then, thats just me...
