I'm still calling Phillies for the NL East. Today's shellacking by the Mets was an anomaly and goes against the recent trend. :p

The Diamondbacks made their typical move, they get within single digits of getting their scoring under control -- and blow it with a nice double digit loss. :rolleyes:

Hopefully they don't carry that bad habit into the post season, starting 20 runs behind won't be good. :(

sorry that i didn't update the numbers, but i think everyone knows what's going on. last day of baseball is always sort of sad.

biggio's last game is on tbs, which is also their last braves game. skip and chip doing the game right now. i'm taping this one myself so i can watch...

the mets collapse on the local station. losing 7-1 to the fish right now, and with the phillies winning, the phillies will win the east and the mets will be done.

padres also winning now, win would put them in the playoffs.

met fans agree. they wasted their one chance to win the world series and are now going golfing this week. serves them right, obnoxious losers. had to deal with them all year as a braves fan, and now they are like us, watching the playoffs on tv.

I can't speak for the others, but Don Orsillo is very good at broadcasting and keeping Jerry Remy in line.

Orsillo will not be broadcasting the Red Sox during the playoffs tho. I would rather they stick with the regional broadcasters for the division series as those are the only people that really care.

1. chip caray yaps too much, same for tony gwynn. buck and mccarver clones. many braves fans didn't like this the past couple of games, and i don't like it now. too much gibberish yapping.

2. brenly is okay, but he sometimes goes overboard and starts talking gibberish. stockton, i don't know much about, but he's not horrible.

3. don't know much here, but steve stone better not do the cubs series, otherwise i know cubs fans will start rioting.

4. joe simpson is grade a material, i'm sure him and orsillo (which i know next to nothing about) will do a fine job.

overall, tbs is trying to become fox with bad announcing at the top and better ones on the bottom. i give them a C- for now, although that will probably drop to an F possibly (fox's grade is currently an F btw).
