Do I have to add/remove programs or can i just send them to trash

on PC u had to add remove things before trashing them is it the same with mac or is just trashin it cool. . .

Unless it came with an uninstaller (usually larger programs with special installer apps, or something that messes with things at the system level), you can just throw it in the trash.

If you want to get rid of EVERYTHING (preference files, etc.), you can spotlight the name of the app and trash those files as well...but it's not necessary.

You can usually throw the programs in the trash, however if you are still in the Windows add/remove programs habit, this program is fantastic:

Or you could try Uapp, which does basically the same thing AppZapper does, but for free.
