New Flower Photos *Semi High Resolution*

I took some of this yesterday and some about a week ago. The camera was the Canon 30d coupled with the Canon 100mm macro lens, and ext tubes. All shot in RAW format.

I've been shooting flowers myself the last couple of days because the cold doesn't let me go anywhere besides my backyard.

Those are all really beautiful, I espcially like the second image of a rose, looks extremely professional. Kudos to you!

Those are great! I really fancy the first one, the colors are so cool, and the B&W orchid, my mom would love that. I say go ahead ans submit them, they're extremely well done!

The third one has what looks to be a grain of rice, I know it's not but thats

Very nice! I liked the first rose and the orchid (2nd and 5th images). The sharpness on the daisy is truly impressive.

Mine too, it seems like natural mandala! I also love the texture of the rose, almost like velvet.

It's mainlly a Canon Forum, but they don't mind at all if you shoot Nikon or anything else for that matter, they are more interested in Photography there, not camera brands.

I think the first rose and the orchid are my favorites. The first picture seems to have such a limited depth of field it is almost abstract instead of a flower.

But they are generally very well done.

I like the first rose and the daisy, though the bits of highlight tending to purple on the first rose bother me a bit.

The daisy is killer.

Thank you for all your wonderful comments! They really mean a lot to me, I will keep you guys informed how it goes.

Also an update on the photography show, I sold two more photos, so total of 3, but still have 12 days left so we will see :)

I really liked the first and second shots. Nice, deep colors :) And I'd absolutely love to see the B&W Orchid in full color!

Any tips on shooting flowers? I've tried and failed miserably. A few of the not-so-bad ones are in my gallery, but I much prefer the bugs on the flowers :p

whoa! those are beautiful! I really love the 1st, 4th, and 6th ones. They're beautiful. What site will you submit them to? I've always wondered about how stock photo sites work? How much money do you make every time your photo is sold? Or do you just get paid once?

you could easily do photography for a living, if you don't already. The only thing I would change is the very first one, the little part that is focused is in my opinion, too focused compared to the rest of the picture, it almost looks like you copied and pasted it on. Other than that, my favorite would have to be the rose. Keep it up I love macro shots of flowers. There my fav.
