Looks awesome!
I will definitely pick this up when it comes out, and worms hd..

It looks like Treasure's rather marvellous Dreamcast and GameCube shooter Ikaruga might be on its way to Xbox Live Arcade.
That's because the game is currently showing up on Partnernet, the Xbox 360's closed debug network, access to which is limited to journalists and developers.

Same here, automatic must own. I passed on previous versions because they were always hard to find. Considering the lack of shooters lately I can't wait to get my hands on it (and probably throw my controller across the room from what I hear).

Ikaruga is an awsome (and seriously tough) game - I still have my GameCube version floating around, so if I ever get my hands on a Wii I can get back to playing. You've got to love a shoot em up that you can complete without firing a single shot :)

XBLA is just getting better and better... this is one of those games I missed on the Dreamcast!

Man I got a headache just watching the video. I want arcadey games that are fun to pick up and play :) If I wanted in depth really challenging I'd play a full game...

I'll still probably get it though. Had it for Dreamcast cuz it cost me 3 bucks at the time.

Well, Ikargua is a full game... so... yeah :) And just the type of shooter you'd find in an "Arcade"... only much nicer.

It is an arcade shmup. ;)

I love this game but never was able to beat it. I love the "polarity" gameplay. Great addition to the Live Arcade if it works out.

I'm also keeping my eyes on the upcoming Raiden III for PS2 (Was a big fan of Arcades" Raiden DX) and Raid Over the River for the DS. Both of these games will be vertical Shmups.

Personally I really loved the game "Einhander" for PS1. A 'shmup' by Square-Enix that was extremely fun. Hard to obtain though, a rare and expensive game.

+1
I had a buddy who owned it. Played the heck out of it until he moved. I could never find a copy of it after that. Unless I wanted to spend a ton of course.
Definitely my favorite "shmup"

Wow! I've wanted this game so bad but didn't want to pay what most people want for it...

That's one of my favorite PS1 games! I always hoped for a sequel.

If anyone wants to get rid of their Gamecube version of this game (NTSC) after they download the Live Arcade version, let me know. It is rare to find at the game stores and the Ebay prices are bonkers. I'd probably pay $25 or so though...
