Finder, Trash and Dash Icons

I am trying to work thru all my icons and change to the Samurai theme. I cant seem to find how to change my Finder and Trash icons. And on my Yahoo Messenger and Dash board, they change back almost immediately after I change them.

Any suggestions?

You have two options here for changing system icons like Finder and Trash.

You can do it Mitty's way, via the Terminal.

Or, you can do it the easy way and download Candybar.

You can change the icon in:

System -> Library -> Core Services -> Dock (Show contents)

Contents -> Resources.

Then replace the Finder, trashempty and trashfull .icns

Thanks for the answers. I found and tried to change the Finder. It wont hold.

I have Candybar at home, I guess I will just have to break it out and try to learn it.

There are a couple of Finder icons.
In Core Services you may need to change the icon in
Finder -> Contents -> Resources
