So, I downloaded and watched the recap episode of Jericho (http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewVideo?id=215909037&p=192599257&s=143441) from iTunes. (Fairly good for a recap episode, btw.)

Towards the end, starting at around 40:30, there's a piece of music that plays behind the voiceovers and stuff. I've posted a 15-second snippet of the first part of the song here (http://homepage.mac.com/simx/mystery_song.mov). I was wondering if anybody knew what this song was. (I suppose it's possible that it was created for the TV show itself, but I suspect not.)

I've tried using Tunatic (http://www.macupdate.com/tunatic), and since there aren't any lyrics, I can't identify the song that way either. Anybody know?

Can't really tell from the snippet, but it does sound like it might have been written for the show, especially if it is without words. Fairly generic chord sequence, similar to ones used by the Beatles and probably quite a few bands from around that time. I'd have to hear the whole thing to be more certain.

Anybody else actually recognise it???

Well, the reason I think it's not made for the TV show is because if you look at the episode for about a minute, the song includes one portion where there's "lyrics" of a guy just singing "Ohhhhhh" for a few seconds.

Is it 'Butchered at Birth' by 'Cannibal Corpse'?
