adium 1.0 - removing transparent border around buddy icons?

anyone know how i can prevent the buddy icons from being clipped/rounded out at the corners?

Preferences>Appearance>Window Style>Borderless Window

That what you mean?
EDIT: Did you even look?

no, i meant for the user icons themselves, not the entire contact list

I can't see any mask images in the resources folder, so it might be done in code. In which case, your only option would be to download the source and make your own build. I doubt it's worth it.
