Game pirated?

Hi,

I just bought a game off Ebay and I'm not sure whether it's pirated or not. It was advertised as brand new complete with package and everything. The CDs are pressed (not burned) and it includes are the manuals but it came in a DVD case, not a cardboard box. I never had a game come in a DVD case. Did anyone see this before. The game is Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal (old game but still very good).

If it's pirated, I'll be quite upset...

Nearly all games are in DVD cases these days.

Many publishers are moving to DVD-style cases to minimize trash in landfills.

yah, CDs are pressed and printed properly. It's probably OK.

:eek: BOXES! I haven't seen any of those in shops for a loooong time. Twas silly, though - you get a 20 page manual and a single CD in a jewel case in a box that barely even fits on the shelf :D Loved it back then...

I used to LOVE buying games like that. Too bad these days even the simplist programs comes on like 5 CDs and has 6 serial numbers to enter before you can even install it :rolleyes:

Hm, I just bought NWN 2 in a cardboard (mini) box (and never installed it because I can't be bothered to boot into Windows). In fact I don't see any games for PCs/Macs in local stores that come in DVD cases but you all are saying it's OK...

Both Tron 2.0 and Aliens vs. Predator 2 came in DVD-style cases (both MacPlay games, I think). Most others of mine are in CD-style jewel cases, but there are those 2 exceptions.
