In your opinion, what is the best/worst game avaiable for the Machintosh platform.

Best games: Starcraft + Brood War, Myth II Soulblighter, Diablo 2, Warcraft 3

Worst games: Hmmm... unfortunately there are quite a few not even worth naming

I thought beachhead was kind of a little addicting arcade game. It wasn't thaaaaaaat bad.

There are too many good games to pick a "best" (although The Sims is always good fun), but there's definitely a "worst." That game is Survivor (as in the CBS show), and it's worse than bad.

I'd have to say the all time worst that I've played is probably the Fly! Series.

X-Plane does it so much better.

"Postal" - a horrible isometric shooter, sensless violence, a horrible gameplay and graphics that really suck (oh wait, why did I buy it then???)

I've got a few games, here are my faves and um not faves...

Best:
Quake 3 Gold - absolutely brilliant, and I don't even have an internet connection to my iBook (I'm writing this from a PC campus:( )
Championship Manager 01-02 - even if you're not a football/ soccer fan you'll love this.
Carmageddon II Carpocalypse Now! - sorry, but totally addictive and fuuun.

Worst:
Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation - not a bad game as such, it just gets very annoying when one puzzle in particular stumps you for ages
Chess - I know its free, and I love playing chess, but I used to play chess at school (I was board number 1) and I still can't beat the computer:mad:

Best: Stronghold, Civ III, Jedi Knight II, Wing Nuts

Wost: Sims. I know I'm in a distinct minority, but it's pointless. All my dude does is go to work, come home, go to work, come home... It was addictive for a couple hours until it became apparent that nothing was going to happen. Maybe I'm missing something.

By the by, I liked Beach Head fine. Nice time killer.

UT on OS9 was/is a fine game when it's running on a fast system. Let's hope that Ryan's efforts on the new UT's (UT2K3 and UT for OSX) are worth the wait!

Best: Medal of Honor AA/Spearhead

Worst: Beachhead(What the hell was Macsoft thinking?)

I'd might have to put WCIII up there if there is no preformance gain, I had my only 2 kernal panics from this ONE app! :eek:
