I have a new subwoofer that I need to plug into my reciver, but the woofer+speakers were made for a 5.1 enabled computer....
My reciever is a yamaha rx v596 and the plugs i need adaptors for are 3 3.5mm green yellow and black.
I have no idea what to buy to make this all work....
Need any clarification, just ask. :p
I pretty much just want to use the sub, speakers, and reciever to make my tv and ipod make good sound. :)
HELP!

I doubt these are gonna work together.
I bet anything your 5.1 computer speakers is an active set which has it's on amplifier and more than likely in the subwoofer. these are to be used with your computer which has a line level output.
your Yamaha has an amp which is made to drive unactive speakers.

Oh, OK.
You are right.
So my best bet would be to buy some sub $200 speakers and a subwoofer to plug into my currently useless $400 brick?
