Hi people,

I am not sure whether this is the right place to ask, but here goes --

I'm looking for a (free) software that can take a series of still images (eps/pdf files) and strings them together to create a movie. Is there such an application? The use I had in mind is to create an animation from a series of plots generated by matlab/gnuplot.

Thanks,
Am.

Quicktime pro does this, but it's not free.

Then put them into Toast 8's Motion Pictures HD (http://www.roxio.com/enu/products/toast/titanium/overview.html) for creation. Why does the software have to be free? Whatever happend to paying for something of value?

OR

Photo to Movie for $50 (http://www.lqgraphics.com/phototomovie.php) is another way to author movies from stills.

Thanks for the information. As for the 'free' issue -- I'm using a university machine, and it's not likely that they'll be willing to pay for the software.

iPhoto or iMovie? They can both do the job unless you are on a PC?
