Feeler / Black Macbook trade for Powerbook ?

General feeler guys as I don't know if this would be a viable offer.

I have a black macbook 2ghz Core Duo with 2gb Ram, 80gb HDD

I'm wondering if I offered it for trade for a Later Rev D/E powerbook 15" (or 17") 1.5 - 1.66ghz G4, with at least 1gb ram, superdrive, would that be a fair trade ?

What do yo guys think ?


Edit: Forgot to add I'm in Ireland, so trading internationally maybe too much hassle.

Seems an odd direction to travel in, if you don't mind me saying so. Or do you enjoy going against the flow? :)

I just traded the other way, sold a 1 GHz 17" PowerBook on eBay and used the proceeds to invest in a black MacBook (refurb - came with 2 GB of RAM!).

Just not been happy with my macbook, I was far happier with my previous powerbook.

So I'm going the other way (against the grain ;) )
Besides I have a macpro if I need anything on UB or Intel.


I would consider trading for a rev a macbook pro 15", and I'd add € to that mix.

You just got a raw deal with your Macbooks and now hate them even though they are probably fine now.

Personally i'd get a MBP. No point going back, you'll be sitting there waiting for a PB to do anything!

Sell off your Macbook and then buy new :). Good luck selling in ireland though... no one has taken mine yet.

I know what you mean about buying new stuff and wishing to god you still had your old technology instead...

Anyhow, I have a TiBook 867mhz/combo/airport/New 40gig HD if you are interested. Obviously this is not worth what your macbook is worth so I could throw in money (or unlocked cellphones if you need one or two). Also, I am not too sure about international shipping either and I have never traded computers with someone before.

On another note, what part of Ireland are you from? I was just in Galway twice last year to visit my girlfriend who was studying abroad there. I LOVED it and I can't wait to go back.

*edit* whooops, for some reason I didn't realize you specified later rev. PB's. Hah. You can most likely disregard my post then. :)

well, if it interests you, i have a PB that i would be willing to do a trade for. its a 1.5 15in, 2gb ram, new 60 gb hd, combo, 128mb vcard, but its not a HR. good condition, few tiny scratches on the bottom.
