And if you do not show this message to someone else within seven days, you will die.

Maybe an older MRer can scrounge it up, but there was a thread about this before. :o That was the thread that made me aware of the question mark.

And yes, the damned FedEx arrow was brought up in that thread, too!

:edit: Ah HAH! I knew it existed (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=109825&). :D

Won so many awards for it, which is insane...

Somehow I do not think the MR logo will be winning any awards. The pips always remind me of a lazily puckered anus.

I've known the question mark was there for some time.

What I didn't know until about 3 minutes ago was that if you click on the "attachments" icon next to a thread (the one that looks like a paper clip), it will give you a list of links to every attachment in that thread. Wild.

How did you discover that one?If you click on enough things, something's bound to happen. ;)

Another fun one which I've known for awhile - click on the number of posts in a thread and it will show you a breakdown of who has posted and how many times they've posted in a thread.

I've always known about the question mark, and I even knew that the leaf was a different color than the apple, but for years I didn't know that the stem was blue, until last April when I was working on the fake masthead (http://www.macrumors.com/page3/) and my wife pointed out the stem color to me.

I actually saw the question mark the first time I saw the logo -- I have a marketing background and tend to notice these things...

Did you know there is an arrow in the FedEx logo?

Yep, see comment regarding marketing background above

And if you do not show this message to someone else within seven days, you will die.

Didn't know that...and now I am scared...

I noticed it when I carved a MacRumors pumpkin for halloween. :p

Didn't know katie carved pumpkins -- any money in it?

The pips always remind me of a lazily puckered anus.

katie ta achoo sees your "sad" and raises you "pathetic"!

I see katies's 'pathetic' and raise everyone 'pitiful'

I noticed. But then again I notice silly things.

See first comment regarding marketing background

Get very, very drunk ... then you won't be able to get the way the toilet looks out of your mind.

Or the gutter, depending where you end up sleeping

I always thought the black dots in the middle of the logo were apple seeds until someone pointed out to me they are actually a pair of squinting eyes.

According to Allotriophagy the apple seeds are not those eyes but another 'eye' (see "" above)

pssst... i believe the left side of the apple is supposed to represent a G, so the logo reads G? (as in G3, G4, G5, G?)...

am I right, arn? :D

Can we make that a sticky. This must be the 10th time I've seen this since I've started here. BTW - Only took me a week to spot it. :)

Alternatively, every 6 months we can hold a contest for newbies: "Spot the question mark"

I think we need to delete all of these threads and not ruin it for everyone. I used to really enjoy spending my time at the forum with the cute Apple/Mole hybrid creature.

Then one of these threads came up, and all I've been able to see since is the question mark. The cute AppleMole is gone. :(
