2G shuffle not charging properly?

I only bought the ipod last week and I have had the ipod running for about 3 hours and today I uploaded some more songs and to let it charge again but its been orange light for near 3 hours now. Is this normal?

I'd give it awhile longer before you start to worry. Charging the last 20% of a battery (the part you used while running) takes the longest to charge.
