I was partially inspired by this thread (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=281774) because it reminded me of a cover song that I really like, but can't find anywhere. That got me to thinking about other songs I've heard in movies, television shows and commercials that I've also like, but that have not been released to the public. So what unreleased material do you know of that you wish you could buy?

The two I could think of right off the top of my head are

Shaznay Lewis' "Dream the Dream" (from Bend It Like Beckham)
Jimmy Gnecco's cover of "In a Big Country" (from a commercial)

sports theme songs from various networks and sports. most of them are great, and i wish they had a longer version of them done instead of the 1 minute tracks, like 3-5 minute versions.

like the themes for nba on abc, nbc, baseball on fox, and tons of others.

everyone thinks this isn't music because there's no lyrics and it's not commercial enough. i like it.

Yeah the Sports Center Theme Song. I think it's out there though. The post above me is one that I also agree with. :)

A Chan Marshall cover of Cat Stevens' "How Can I Tell You?" from a deBeers commercial. And, yes, another Cat Power cover -- this time of the Nerves' "Hanging On The Telephone" -- from a recent Cingular commercial.

Bah. This thread depressed me because I had forgotten all about these two songs. :(
