Prey settings

I have downloaded the demo of Prey as the game concept seemed cool. The last game of this type I played was Wolfenstien about 2 years ago.

When I play it on my new 24" imac it is not the best. Some tearing and low frame rate. Also I can not get it to display in widescreen to fill my screen.

What would you reccomend for the settings?

I'm on a 2ghz 17" C2D. I could run it at 1024*768 (widescreen box ticked) on high settings and had a good experience with it.
I recommend getting new drivers, these always help I find. I'm using Radeon's Omega drivers and I've noticed a boost between 5-8fps in HL2 alone.

I run at 1600x1200, everything on ultra high / max and 2x AA selected
(i couldnt get the game / demo to run at 1920x1200)

on a macpro 2.66ghz, 3gb ram, X1900xt

Prey, as in the game where a Native Aboriginal American is abducted by aliens and fights them with the help of his grandfather?

If it is then I use the default settings on my PB G4 (see sig)

runs pretty good, no real lagging at all.

It's actually VERY well optomised. more so than either Quake 4 or Doom 3 and runs almost as well on mac os X as it does on it's native home of Direct X Windows PC.

On my Mac Pro w/ stock Quad and X1900, I have everything set at maximum on a 24" Dell LCD monitor and I have no problems playing this game.

I'm on a 1.8GHz Single CPU PowerMac G5 and can run it at 1680x1050 at all the highest settings. FSAA on multiplayer.

Hey guys,

Just installed Prey on my MacBook Pro C2D with 2 GB ram 15" with the x1600 128mb vram.... I found running the game at 1280x800 at high quality ran pretty well, between 25 and 35 fps... If I ran the game at 1440x900, the fps would drop to around 20ish. No screenies plus I didn't play for long as I am using the trackpad right now. Let me know of any settings that seem to help out the MacBook Pros!
