Need Help on Shuffle (1G)

I have a 512 1G shuffle that is giving me nothign but headaches. Basically, it doesn't want to work. It will just randomly stop playiing music and showing any signs of life (the battery does have a good charge too). I used to get that panic light all the time, but now that doesn't even show up. I've tried that stupid reset utility Apple put out (many times), but it doesn't fix the problem.

I want to get a new one or get it fixed, but I don't have my receipt. It is still under waranty, I bought it in September. What can I do?

Try just bringing it into an apple store. Sometimes they'll just replace them for you, no questions asked.

Searched bank statements and got an exact date, did a service request online, new shuffle on the way. Hopefully this one will like to play music.
