Im running an original 17" iMac 800mhz with jaguar and im wondering how to uninstall Mac OS 9 as I have no use for it anymore and its using up valuable disc space. When I try to drag the system folder to the trash (even in root user) it says its required by the system.
Cheers,

you could always do a
sudo rm -rf /"System Folder"/
Don't ask me if that works, I'm not about to try :-)
edit: added sudo

edit: added sudo this is how i did it the first time. it does work. you might also want to delete the OS 9 apps folder the same way, and the OS 9 desktop, and so on.
