The techshell for the 15 inch MBP are for sale on their website. Does anybody have experience with these shells vs. a speck hard case???

i don't have one but i was thinking, since the display tilt angle is quite bad already on mbpro's, wouldn't that reduce it even more??

Nope. :)

We went ahead and essentially chopped off most of the rear part of the lower half of the shell so it can open unobstructed. Now that we just got the 15" shells in on Wednesday, I took a few shots last night so you can see. Hope this helps.

Can you please tell me if a MBP will tend to over-heat because of the tech shell?

While the Speck case may slightly reduce the tilt angle, it fully protects the back corners. I think it's a poor idea to remove the back to save ~10 degrees of tilt.
It does raise temperatures slightly under load, but it's nothing I worry about since my temps never go much over 60c and usually hover around 40c
I like that the techcases are a wide variety of color and material though.

Would love to have a carbon fiber shell.. sadly it would be too expensive to ship all the way to Europe.

Yes. 17" MBP
I'm pushing for the iBooks... But we'll see... maybe.

Check the site in May for the 17" and updates. :)
