I've just recieved my first mac, an iBook G3 600Mhz 384MB 20GB Combo with Mac OS 10.1.2
I've been looking for torrent clients but i cant seem to find any for my version of mac os :(! I do not plan on upgrading my software as it is rather expensive and the one i have servers me well.
Can anyone recommend/forward me to any torrent client i will be able to use. I've tried BitTorrent, it mounted successfully however when i click the BitTorrent application icon, nothing happens!
Can anyone help?

I use Transmission which won't work on OS X 10.1 so I can't recommend any but have you searched versiontracker (http://www.versiontracker.com/macosx)?

Just had a quick look and stumbled across this but I don't know if it's any good. Does say it should work on 10.1 though.
Azureus BitTorrent Client (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/22820)

Perhaps there's a UNIX CLI bit of code around....
If there's a CLI app for Linux, maybe you can compile for OS X?

right, well if you're into compiling your own programs, this seems the way to go:
http://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/linux-command-line-bittorrent-client.html
otherwise, with a 10.1 install, it might be a good idea to learn. fast. Because these days, the UNIX part of that OS is the only 'current' thing about it.
Forget the GUI, get used to using terminal :) I use azureus, but I think CLI programs have thier place too, especially in your case.

I know you don't want to update but you are using an extremely outdated OS. It would be like running Windows 95 on a PC, yeah it will work, but why? I highly recommend purchasing a more recent version of OS X. Even 10.2 will be a huge step forward (and you probably can find it rather cheap), although 10.3 or newer will be even better.
