Wow, Apple killed that in a hurry. I wonder if YouTube puts up any resistance at all to having stuff pulled off their site-- was this really a trademark violation?

Well, I don't know if trademark is the relevant part, but it was stealing Apple's interface design and associated artwork.

Yeah, the icons are copyrighted arent they. Touch screens arent though.

Youtube sucks now. I knew it wouldnt last for long. The old youtube was great. Youtube is the new napster.

Now, MULTI-touch screens are patented--and without that, and the orientation sensorc., even piracy or illegal cloning could not reproduce the iPhone. It's software AND hardware.

For instance:

* Pinch-zooming of Web pages

* Quick photo zooming

* Auto-sensing wide view of web pages/emails/photos

* Using the device without having to be careful that the hand holding it doesn't touch the screen edges

* Gesture-scrolling a list and then being able to hit a button without it mattering whether you lift your scrolling finger or not

* Thumbing through CDs in coverflow and then choosing a song without lifting your thumb away

* Shift-key and special symbols on virtual keyboard can presumably work as modifiers, not just as toggles

* Future game uses

Apple has every right to have these iPhone wannabes pulled.
