That is excellent news.

Not only the fact that Parallels now has serious competition (which is s gr8 thing for consumers!), but that VMWare (not WMWare as in the title) is trying to get DirectX support, meaning PC games running in Fusion.... another reason for not having to Boot Camp ;)

VMWare (not WMWare as in the title) is trying to get DirectX support, meaning PC games running in Fusion....

I would much rather see developers supporting OpenGL than trying to get Microsoft's proprietary DirectX working under other operating systems. But then I am not a gamer.

Windows game developers are more or less forced to use DirectX for their gaming development.
TBO it does work well.... grfx card developers make sure their card run this engine as fast as possible too.

But, yes, for us Mac-gamers it is a bad thing....
