Please Help, Downloads And Certain Net Sites Not Working

Recetntly i rebooted my whole comp 'cause of a slight prob. Now ive downloaded azureus and msn and they download fine but dont open. Also certain internet sites like chat rooms and online games wont work. PLZ HELP

What was the 'slight prob' you speak of?

Have you tried to repair permissions? Delete preference files?
