question about applecare...

my powerbook was bought on march 3rd, 2006 and on feb. 27, 2007 i decided to buy applecare. well, applecare came today in the mail and now it says on apple.com that my machine isn't eligible anymore. do you think i could call apple and see if they will let me register it? or am i screwed?

You're technically supposed to register your machine within one year from purchase. I imagine that since you're so close to the cutoff date that they might make an exception. When you purchase AppleCare has no bearing, it's all about registering.
