DVD not recognised [Archive] - MacRumors Forums

I have the game Call of Duty 2, which i play all the time without problem. But for no reason that i can see, today the message please insert the dvd comes up when i launch the application, even though it is recognised on the desktop. This is both the single and multiplayer.

I have tried some other discs and they seem to work fine.

This is on my iMac G5 PPC with superdive.

I tried that, and it didn't work. i even removed Toast using app zapper and then reinstalled it. but it did stop as i installed toast, so i suppose its linked.

any other ideas?

I have found a way around the problem, which i thought i would post incase anybody else wanted to know. download this (http://www.macgamefiles.com/detail.php?item=19290) patch and it works fine

well turns out that patch doesn't solve the problem with single player not working
