Can't say I'm surprised. Firefox has got a good system, and even most windows users that have messed around with it like it better. I forsee IE and Safari losing to Firefox in the long run.

Firefox is by far the best windows browser. When I switched, I tried Safari for about a day, then went to Firefox. Later I found the Inquisitor (http://www.inquisitorx.com/safari/) plug in, and have used Safari ever since...

Wow. Inquisitor looks great. Can't wait to wake up my dormant Safari and try it...

It really is brilliant, and even better after a while. It remembers your history, e.g. I often go to BBC Sport, so now every time I put in 'bb' it has BBC Sport as the first option.

Would you happen to know offhand if Inquisitor is collecting data like Google does? That would be the only drawback, especially since it looks kind of open source (it's free, etc)... Otherwise, looks very nice...

I doubt it. Default browsers will always have an edge over the competition. Firefox just doesn't have enough to push itself over and above Safari and IE. I can definitely see it reaching a parity with them, but not winning out over them.

well, on their respective platforms, u probably right, but since firefox cross all the platforms, ppl who use different OSes simultaneously, or for general market share, firefox would be much better than safari, after all, safari's market share is limited by OSX's market share. which is.... 5%.

Again, it would be really interesting to see a report of OSX's browser share situation, so far, I didn't see any. :o
