According to BMW sources, it'll be powered by a version of the M5's epic V10 cut down by two cylinders to around 4.0-litres, and hooked up to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox, or an optional seven-speed SMG.
It'll be the first M3 to get V8 power therefore, and with it, say M-Division insiders, about 414bhp and 295lb ft of torque. The latter figure is exactly the same as that of BMW's lesser 335i, but rest assured – the performance figures won't be.

An RS4 will still spank it's arse 9 days out of 10 on our roads. Betcha. ;)
P.S. Whatever happened to BMW's proposed new naming scheme?
3 Series = Saloon.
4 Series = Coupe.

On the waiting list for the convertible, not that we've actually seen that yet! Looking good so far, though. Will be going SMG again, of course.

Oh, not those ones... ;) there was talk a couple of years ago that the 3 Series Coupe was going to be called the 4 Series, and that the M3 would be the saloon car variant, whilst the M4 would be the Coupe version.

That's puzzling too, I'd have thought that BMW would've dropped SMG for their Dual Clutch system a'la DSG for their upcoming M Models and revisions?

I think it looks alright. I'll probably have to see one in person to really form an opinion, but at first glance, I like the old style a little better.

As I designed this car i must say that it is nice, but i am a bit disappointed, CAR magazine an mockups of it with the rear number plate on the bumper and it looked super awesome..... the back of this is a bit too fussy for my liking. Apart from that it is superb especially the front.... while im here, theyve finally put an interior in the lotus europa s, its not a piece of crap anymore. :)
SHOULD HAVE LOOKED LIKE THIS
