mldonkey 2.5 help

I just downloaded MLDONKEY 2.5 HOWEVER i have no clue how to get the thing started. I also downloaded X11 from apple's webpage but isn't this the same as the Terminal app. I have no clue how to install it...could anyone walk me through this.

It's best if I tell you over a chat program, so add me on AIM. I will be able to help you then.

But I will try here, so get the mldonkey folder, put it on your desktop. Now open terminal.

type into terminal cd (with a space afterwards) and drag the mldonkey folder over the terminal, and drop it. Press enter. Type ./mlnet and press enter again.

Now you should be running mldonkey, to view your searchs and such, go to this url in your web browser: http://127.0.0.1:4080/

fast and easy.. but don t you have to compile it on the mac ?
