I just got my new iMac today and have run into a problem when trying to slipstream my Windows XP SP1 to SP2. I have an old pc laptop that has succesfully integrated the patch into the cd files but it doesn't have a cd burner. Is it possible to copy over the now slipstreamed cd folder over to my iMac and burn the cd on it? Or do I have to get someone with a pc that can burn to help me?

If you use a program like nLite (http://www.nliteos.com/) in Windows to create the slipstreamed Windows XP image, you can save it as a bootable ISO. Then in OS X, you can use Disk Utility to burn the ISO to a blank CD-R and you'll be all set. That's exactly what I did to create a Windows XP SP2 install CD and it worked flawlessly.

You could also use the instructions from onmac and do this with mkisofs under OS X.

nLite's probably easier, or use a trial copy of Nero to create an NRG image.

Perfect, I'll give that a try when I get back home tonight.

I had exactly the same problem!

I found a great free windows app called Autostreamer (http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=223562) which auto slipstreamed and provided me with a bootable .iso

From there it was straight into toast and away! :)

Perfect sunfast! Somehow I kept messing up what Lancetx suggested so hopefully this works.
