Transition from OSX Parralles to full screen - experiences?

It kinda looks slick, but for a second my macbook display will go black - is this normal and unavoidable?

I have similar effects when going to full screen, so does my housemate so on a survey of 3 i would say it is normal, think it is probably something to do with parallels changing screen resolutions in Windows while taking over the screen from OS X.

I don't think it is avoidable.

I think it is, mine does it, I've never even considered it to be a problem per se.
