dual layer dvd on macbook

I was wondering if anybody could tell me if the dvd drive/burner on the current macbooks are capable of burning dual layer dvd's?

Awesome...so if I put in a dual layer disc and the data is formatted as a dual disc will it just automatically detect and burn?
