Sharing and Web Sharing

Does anyone know how to activate sharing and web sharing with TCP sharing active though the terminal????

My sharing pane is corrupt and I haven't the time to reinstall right now.

Just curious if either of you tried starting up your Sharing Preferences directly from the SharingPref.prefPane under /System/Library/PreferencePanes/?

For websharing

run /usr/sbin/apachectl from the command line

without arguements, you'll get directions

usually (and you prob have to be root)

/usr/sbin/apachectl start
/usr/sbin/apachectl stop
/usr/sbin/apachectl restart

etc....

[localhost:~] adamrice% /usr/sbin/apachectl start
fopen: No such file or directory
httpd: could not open document config file /etc/httpd/httpd.conf
/usr/sbin/apachectl start: httpd could not be started
