Does anyone know of any good auto help forums? I'm thinking of something like this place, only car-oriented instead of Mac-oriented. A place where people of all experience-levels can post questions and observations and help each other out... Thanks.

I would imagine it all depends on what type of car u have or need help with...

Yeah it would definitely depend on the type of car you have. There are boards devoted entirely to certain makes and models. The only car place I know of is saabnet, but likely that's not helping.

Indeed, not much help for a mid-90s Mercury. :) I'll keep poking around...

Tom and Ray are brothers that have a radio program on NPR, that deals with car repair. On their website they they a chat forum, that you can talk about anything. It's a forum where car people can gather, the threads run similar to here. Check it out!

Did you get a kick out of those two comedians. They have a very funny radio program!

Yeah, I've listened to it before. Good stuff, though I couldn't listen to it for too long, or all of the time. :)

"Car Talk" is our regular programming every Saturday/Sunday evening. A very enjoyable program. My favorite is "Stump the Chumps." The quiz they offer each week is very interesting and thought provoking!

I used to like Car Talk, but by now I can't stand it!

Their incessant laugh makes me crazy. They laugh about their jokes so much that it distracts from the good advice they might give. Sometimes their answer or attitudes are so biased, it makes my skin crawl. They (personally) qualified my VW as a chick car and that I should drive an SUV, like a Honda Passport, TrailBlazer or Expedition. Based on the fact that I am a mid-twenties guy who like to camp. I am very happy with my bike rack and luggage rack on top, and can go on trips just as well as I could with any of the other SUVs. Plus I personally hate SUVs.
