i'm concluding in my pre-switch research that bible software for macs vs. pcs is like games for macs vs. pcs. there isn't much and you have to use emulation software. i have on my pc: bibleworks, libronix, pcstudy bible, e-sword (free), and zondervan. but the mac only has accordance and it comes with with the mac premium. since there are apparently so many christians on this forum could any of you who use these programs share your experience especially regarding emulation? i'm not too interested in investing in accordance.
thanks

Might be a reason to get VPC or wait for RealPC to show up.

Accordance 5.6 is a great program form Oak Tree Software, Inc. It has different levels that include Greek, Hebrew, and maps. I read the Bible daily, on a program that I read the whole Bible in a year!

I use my hardbound, "New Annotated Oxford Bible" to read also. Still find it easier to read!

http://bible.gospelcom.net is pretty useful, what kind of features were you looking for in particular?

I heard that Jesus had an iBook because it went with the decor in heaven (i.e the clouds at the right hand side of the Father).

there is a ton of christian and bible software for the mac.

one of the first things you need to learn as a mac user is that versiontracker.com and macupdate.com are terrific resources to find software. Check them out, I think you will find what you need.

Another good software archive site is http://osx.hyperjeff.net/Apps/

I use a really old version of accordance, like version 2, in classic. It's a pretty expensive program compared with what you can get on paper.
I only use it when I want to search for something though. The rest of the time I prefer the paper version.

If all you want to do is search for passages, you could try http://www.biblegateway.org/
