my lacie triple extreme hard drive is clicking, what does this mean?

the title says it all, i am just backing up my itunes library (about 50 gigs) and it is clicking like crazy? Is it breaking?

Clicks and other noises (aside from the sound of blissful spinning) are typically a sign that a drive is about to die. 🙁
